Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA)

CIFA is the Association of professionals, businesses and organizations offering services and being involved in the Investment Funds and Asset Management sector in Cyprus. CIFA focuses on enhancing the high level of sophistication of the Investments Funds Industry and addresses the broad range of needs and issues faced by service providers and businesses involved in the sector. The mission of CIFA is: to provide support to its members, encourage maintenance of industry standards and professionalism, be engaged in the development of related regulatory aspects, and promote the Cyprus investment fund industry. CIFA is a full member of the European Funds and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) and The International Investment Funds Association (IIFA). It is also an Associate member of International Capital Markets Association (ICMA).

The Cyprus regulator is the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and the website of CySEC is www.cysec.gov.cy (available also in English version). Cyprus, being a member State of the European Union, applies all the EU regulations and directives for Funds (UCITS, AIFs and other types) as well as EU directives and regulations for Fund Managers.
