Asociación de Fondos Mutuos de Chile A.G. (AFM)

The purpose of the Chilean Mutual Funds Association (AAFM) is to promote the development of the mutual funds industry in Chile, representing the interest of our members and investors on issues that concern them, looking for the spreading and prestige of this investment and saving instrument.

THE MEMBERSHIP

All 15 companies who currently manage mutual funds in our country are members of this association; their membership is to be part of an entity that pursues a fair competition standards and ethical principles.

OUR FUNCTIONS

• Promote and develop self-regulation
• Promote healthy competition
• Strengthening the appropriate handing of information to investors
• Contribute to the professional development of the people who work in our industry
• To spread the knowledge and characteristics of mutual funds as an important saving and investment mechanism and capital markets industry.

The main source of regulatory information in Chile is the Financial Market Commission (Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF)).
