Marc-André Bechet is Deputy Director General of ALFI, the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry.

He joined the association in September 2014, initially as Director Legal & Tax. He was elected Deputy Director General in 2019.

Before joining ALFI, Marc-André Bechet was Head of the Investment Funds Services at Banque Degroof Luxembourg, responsible for fund administration and custody. He was also a member of Banque Degroof’s Management Board.

Prior to joining Banque Degroof, Marc-André Bechet worked for 18 years at RBC Investor Services Bank S.A. in Luxembourg, where he held various senior positions including Head of Custody and Network Management, and Head of Business Development and Relationship Management, Legal and Compliance.

Mr. Bechet holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa (Canada) and a Master's degree in Finance from the French business school ESCP in Paris. He speaks English, French, German and Luxembourgish.

Colin is currently Head of Digital Distribution at GAM Investments and has had a broad Financial Services career focusing on client experience, service, delivery and innovation across sales, marketing, operations and technology. Colin has spent over 25 years leading and building successful teams globally delivering complex change and distinctive services for asset management, wealth management and private label businesses. Colin co-authored ‘The WealthTech Book’ and also serves on the Investment Association’s Fintech Advisory Panel, the Investment Association Technology Forum and mentors for the NatWest Start-up Accelerator and Multiverse for apprentices. Originally an Engineering and Business Management graduate from Surrey University, his business roles have led him to become a Chartered IT Professional and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a graduate from MIT’s certificate in Fintech: Future of Commerce and recently awarded an executive diploma in Digital Leadership from Warwick Business School.

Paul has a deep understanding of the regulatory and public policy landscape, gained through a distinguished public and private sector career. Paul’s most recent position was as executive director of the British Columbia Securities Commission. Previously, he held positions as a deputy minister in a provincial government, in senior securities regulatory roles with the Investment Industry Organization of Canada and the Ontario Securities Commission, and in the private sector with Deloitte. Paul is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and is a member of the bars of Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.

Ian Bragg is the Vice-President, Research & Statistics at the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). Prior to joining IFIC, Ian held the position of Director of Research and Policy at the Responsible Investment Association of Canadaand served as Research Director at Kingsdale Shareholder Services where he provided governance advisory and proxy analytics services to public companies. Ian started his investment career at Sustainalytics where he worked for eight years as an analyst, covering the oil and gas and mining sectors.

Ms Choi is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). She is also an Executive Director with responsibility for the Investment Products Division, which is responsible for authorising and supervising collective investment schemes and other investment products as well as for the development and implementation of the SFC’s asset management strategy and policies.

Ms Choi joined the SFC in 2005. She has extensive regulatory knowledge and experience in the policies and requirements for investment products both in Hong Kong and internationally. She played a lead role in the design and launch of various mutual recognition of funds (MRF) arrangements between Hong Kong and other jurisdictions, in particular the ground-breaking MRF arrangements with Mainland China.

Prior to joining the SFC, Ms Choi practised as a solicitor in Hong Kong and was a partner of the Corporate Group of the international law firm, Clifford Chance.

Ms Choi is currently Chair of the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ Committee on Investment Management. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Financial Services Advisory Committee and the Asian Financial Forum Steering Committee.

Ms Choi chairs the SFC’s Products Advisory Committee and Committee on Real Estate Investment Trusts. She also sits on the Advisory Committee, the SFC (HKEC Listing) Committee and the Executive Committee.

Jennifer S. Choi is chief counsel of ICI Global and is responsible for leading the Institute’s global policy work on cross-border legal and regulatory matters affecting ICI and its members. Choi has held various international roles within ICI, including associate general counsel for global capital markets policy and associate counsel for international policy. In addition to her role at ICI, she serves as an adjunct professor of law at American University’s Washington College of Law, teaching regulation of mutual funds and investment advisers. Earlier in her career, Choi worked in an international policy role at the Investment Adviser Association. From 1995 to 1999, she held various positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, including assistant director in the Division of Investment Management and special counsel in the Division of Market Regulation (now the Division of Trading and Markets). At the SEC, she also received the Martha Platt Award for dedication, excellence, and integrity. Choi graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in economics, cum laude, and from the National Law Center at George Washington University, with highest honors.

Sean Collins is chief economist at the Investment Company Institute (ICI). He oversees the Institute’s statistical collections and its research on US and global funds, financial markets, the US retirement market, and investor demographics. His research and analysis focuses on the flows, assets, fees, and industrial organization of registered investment companies; financial market issues; the costs and benefits of laws and regulations governing funds; money market funds; and financial stability. He has held several roles at ICI, most recently senior director of industry and financial analysis. Before joining ICI in 2000, Collins was a staff economist at the Federal Reserve Board and an economist at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, where he participated on the RBNZ’s Monetary Policy Committee. He is a current member of the Group of Economic Advisers (GEA) to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). He has a PhD in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a BA in economics from Claremont McKenna College.

Chris Cummings is the Chief Executive of The Investment Association, a post he has held since September 2016. The Investment Association is the trade body that represents UK-based investment managers.

He is a member of HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce, and was a founding member of its Financial Services Trade & Investment Board. He serves on the Chancellor’s Financial Services Industry Advisory Group and Department for International Trade’s Financial Services Trade Advisory Group. He is a Board member on EFAMA, the European trade association for investment management and is a member of the Regulation Committee of IIFA, the international association for investment management.

He was previously a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Decisions Committee, a Settlement Decision Maker for the Payment Services Regulator. He served on the Foreign & Commonwealth’s Diplomatic Excellence Panel.

Before joining The Investment Association he was the founding CEO of TheCityUK, held senior posts in banking, insurance and consulting with major global firms. He is a regular columnist, commentator and speaker on issues of international competitiveness and regulation in financial services.

Jose Carlos Doherty is Chief Executive Officer at the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association (ANBIMA) since 2012. He joined the organization in 2006 as Chief Regulatory Officer. Mr.Doherty was also chairman of IOSCO Affiliate Members Consultative Committee (AMCC) from 2012 to 2018, responsible for representing ANBIMA at international forums on regulation and supervision.

Over the past 25 years, Mr. Doherty has worked in various financial institutions in Brazil and abroad, such as Deutsche Bank, BankBoston, Brown Brothers Harriman, including the CVM (Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil) and Bovespa (between 1994 and 1997), in which he was involved, among other projects, in the creation and development of rules and legal frameworks for foreign investment in the Brazilian capital market.

Mr. Doherty graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Brasília (UnB), holds an MBA from INSPER in São Paulo, and a Global Advanced Management Program Certificate awarded by Georgetown University-ESADE.

Goshka Folda serves as President and CEO of Investor Economics and Global Head of Research for the ISS Market Intelligence division, formed through the recent acquisition of Strategic Insight by Institutional Shareholder Services, Inc. (ISS). With more than 20 years’ experience leading research initiatives for a wide variety of product and distribution topics, Goshka’s areas of focus include the household balance sheet, the future of the asset management business, investment funds industry, and financial services industry distribution models.

Goshka has executive responsibility for a wide-range of research initiatives and publications, databases, information gathering, and client service at Investor Economics. As a subject-matter expert, she is a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences and is regularly quoted in the media.

Goshka graduated with distinction from the Warsaw School of Economics’ Master’s Program in and holds a Baccalaureate designation from the Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia.

Lubasha Heredia is a Partner and Managing Director in the New York office of the Boston Consulting Group. She joined BCG in 2006 and has previously worked in the firm's Barcelona, Madrid and Moscow offices.

Lubasha specializes in Asset and Wealth Management and Retirement. She has deep expertise across strategy and transformation, strategic partnerships, operations and technology. Lubasha is the lead for BCG's Retirement topic and responsible for BCG's Global Asset Management knowledge and data teams. Lubasha is also the lead author of BCG's annual Global Asset Management report.

Lubasha holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a BSc and MSc in Business Administration from ESADE, Spain, and CEMS Master in International Management from London School of Economics, UK.

Lubasha speaks fluent English, Spanish and Russian and has a conversational knowledge of German. Before starting at BCG, Lubasha competed in Ballroom & Latin dancing. She has now switched from dancing to running trail ultramarathons and racing Ironmans. She also enjoys playing piano / guitar, reading, scuba diving, skiing and mountain climbing.

Arnie Hochman joined the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) in March 2020 as Vice-President, Policy and General Counsel. He is responsible for managing the Policy Group and for legal affairs at IFIC. Prior to joining IFIC, Arnie was Vice-President, Wealth Legal at TD Bank Group, where he led the global wealth legal team for 14 years. Arnie has also been General Counsel at Global Strategy Financial, Deputy Director, Corporate Finance Branch at the OSC, and a Director at Prudential-Bache Securities Canada and Richardson Greenshields of Canada.

Anna is CEO of The Wisdom Council focusing on helping FS companies shape solutions that engage consumers and deliver sustainable, commercial success. Anna is also President of non-for-profit, volunteer-led Women in Banking and Finance, established 40+ years ago to promote a gender lens and provide support to women’s careers in finance.

Anna’s commitment to gender equality includes a focus on closing the gender investments gap. She launched the cross-industry Yes She Can initiative in 2019 conducting behavioural research with thousands of women and reaching millions via social. The 2021 campaign “Get Financially Fit” is led by the TV journalist Kate Thornton and has so far been watched by @ 80,000 on IGTV.

Prior to TWC Anna worked in the city in senior roles including JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. She sat on MaPS Gender and Financial Wellbeing Challenge Group in 2020, is a judge on the Social Mobility Awards and the PAM awards.

James O’Sullivan is responsible for managing funds policy at the Central Bank of Ireland. This brief includes responsibility for the Central Bank’s regulations and guidance for investment funds and Fund Service Providers in Ireland. Prior to this, James held a number of roles in the Central Bank, including as an advisor with respect to Securities and Markets Supervision. Before joining the organisation, James worked for a multinational investment bank and is a graduate of University College Dublin.

James represents the Central Bank at a range of European and International forums. This includes the Investment Management Committee (C5) at the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC) at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).

Eric J. Pan is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Company Institute (ICI). He took office as the 10th chief executive in ICI’s history on November 9, 2020.

Pan was previously a Managing Director of Rock Creek Global Advisors LLC, an international economic policy advisory firm in Washington, DC, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Law and Economic Studies at Columbia Law School in New York.

Pan served as the Director of the Office of International Affairs at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2015 to 2019 and head of international regulatory policy at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from 2011 to 2015. He represented both market regulators in international standard-setting bodies, including the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and Financial Stability Board (FSB), and in regulatory dialogues with European and Asian counterparts.

Before entering government service, Pan was the Director of the Heyman Center on Corporate Governance and a professor at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York where he wrote extensively about financial regulation and corporate law. He also practiced corporate and international law with Covington & Burling in Washington, DC.

Pan is a graduate of Harvard College, the University of Edinburgh, and the Harvard Law School. He is a member of the American Law Institute and an adjunct professor at Columbia Law School.

Franck Raillon is a senior policy advisor at the AMF’s investment management division of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate since June 2019. Since then, he has been an AMF representatives at the IOSCO’s Investment Management Committee (C5) and at the ESMA’s Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC). Since March 2020, Franck has been involved in several IOSCO and IOSCO-FSB workstreams that dealt with financial stability issues, including on money market funds and on liquidity risk management by open-ended funds. Before joining the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate, Franck spent seven years (2012-2019) at the AMF's Markets Directorate as a senior quantitative analyst in the markets surveillance division. During this period, he actively participated in the drafting of some of the MIF level 2 and 3 regulations and authored or co-authored several published articles : on the French ETF market (2017), on the episode of heightened volatility in early February 2018 (2018) and on the growing importance of the closing auction in share trading volumes (2019). Before joining the AMF, Franck was a market-maker on equity derivatives for 8 years (2004-2012).

Jessica Reyes is a senior policy advisor at the AMF’s investment management division of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate since March 2020. She represents the AMF at ESMA’s Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC), and works in the current reviews of the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD) and the European Long Term Investment Fund Regulation (ELTIFR). Jessica also chairs IOSCO core expert group on liquidity risk management of open-ended funds. Prior to joining the AMF, Jessica was a senior supervisor at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for four years, covering some of the largest wealth and asset managers in the UK. Before moving to regulation, Jessica held different roles in multinational banking groups and global asset managers and was based in London, Madrid and Sydney.

Alessandro joined Assogestioni – the Italian asset management association – in early 2000, shortly after graduating from Bocconi University. There he followed a distinctive career path and had the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the complex regulatory and economic characteristics of the asset management industry.

At first he was employed in the statistics department. Then he became the head of advisory services on the economic and financial issues arising from the regulation of portfolios and fund management activities, with a specific focus on investment compliance, derivatives and risk management.

In 2009 he was appointed head of the Economic Research department, whose objective is to provide industry analysis, market insights and regulatory advice with a distinctive economic approach and sensitivity.

Alessandro is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on asset management related topics.

Adrian Schatzmann became CEO of the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) in January 2021. Prior to that, he held various consulting positions, including with the Swiss Bankers Association (SBA), and was founder and Managing Director of Clear Minds Investment AG. Adrian worked for UBS for more than 20 years in Switzerland and Asia in roles such as head of global fund and ETF distribution. He studied economics at the University of St. Gallen.

Duncan is the Director of TMT Research for Deloitte Canada, a member of Deloitte's Center for Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT Center) and is a globally recognized expert on predicting the future of consumer and enterprise technology, media and entertainment & telecommunications. He has been co-author of Deloitte Global Research’s annual Predictions report on trends in TMT since 2008. He meets with hundreds of the top tech, media and telecom companies globally each year, and

incorporates their insights into his work.

He presents regularly to companies and at conferences, has a high-profile media presence and is frequently interviewed on the future of everything. Duncan has 31 years of experience in the TMT industry. As a portfolio manager, he made investments in the tech and telecom sector, and won the Canadian Technology Fund Manager of the Year award in its inaugural year. In his time as an investor he deployed a cumulative $2 billion of capital into global TMT markets, in public and private companies.

He is a CFA ® charterholder and holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Jun Sugie is Vice Chairman of the Japan Investment Trusts Association (JITA), an organization for asset managers of investment funds and REITs.

He started his career at Ministry of Finance and dedicated most of his career to the development of both domestic and international tax system as well as that of the capital market. In 2011, he was appointed as the Commissioner of Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau. Prior to his appointment as Vice Chairman at JITA, he worked for Japan Securities Depository Center (JASDEC) as the Senior Executive Officer.

He has a bachelor’s degree in laws from the University of Tokyo.
